Easter greetings to Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia

The President sent greetings to Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia on Easter Sunday.

The message reads, in part:

“Easter celebrations fill our lives with joy and love, awaken most sincere feelings and inspire acts of kindness and compassion.

It is of great significance that, under your guidance, the Russian Orthodox Church continues its centuries-old traditions of devoted service, helping people find faith, guiding them through life, playing an active role in bringing up the younger generation and strengthening the institution of the family. I would also like to express our appreciation for your constructive contribution to promoting interaction between the state and the Russian Orthodox Church, as well as your support for the defenders of the Fatherland and their families.”
